“Born in Manchester, brought up in Winsford and set up home with my husband and children over 30 years ago in his home town of Runcorn, a town I now call my own!
Working life started by working for a family house building construction company followed by a role working for a social housing provider for 27 years. Now working in the voluntary sector for Halton and St Helens Voluntary Community Action as the Runcorn Community Connector, a role I love! Always had an active role in the community predominantly in sport, Runcorn Cricket Club Junior Section, Secretary at Runcorn Sports Club and now, after taking up golf, I am the Chair of Runcorn Golf Club where I'm proud of the changes and improvements implemented working with a team of Directors, making the club more inclusive with a focus on the community in the town the club is situated.
Being part of a great group of people who are passionate about building on the improvements currently happening in Runcorn Old Town, seeing a place shaped by local people for local benefit, that retains the character and diversity and is full of community-owned inclusive spaces collaboratively managed for generations to come excites me and one I'm very proud to be a part of. Runcorn Old Town Community Land Trust will have a very positive impact on our town, I'm honoured to be part of it.”
